Day One (Night one was spent driving to my destination…went to sleep at 3:11am and awoke at my alarm—noon! That’s a first! Well, I was actually awake earlier with the BIRDS pecking at my window—Yes, Pastor, they are still here…I am in your room….)
Here’s the song that is on my heart this morning:
You’re the God of this city, Sholinghur…
You’re the king of this nation, India..you are!
There is no one like My God. There is no one like my king.
You are the light in the darkness. You’re the hope to the hopeless…you are!
There is no one like you, God.
Ps. 66: 12…we went through fire and through water; YET YOU HAVE BROUGHT US OUT TO A PLACE OF ABUNDANCE! This scripture I declared this morning over God’s House. That God’s House would be the place of abundance.
I declared this at breakfast as well—to Pastor Paul. I pray I can be an encouragement daily to the needs here at God’s house…and a servant! The servant of the most High King, my King, Jesus! ..in the kitchen, in song, dance, smile—He is my All in All and I want it to show!
WOOOHOOOO…IM HERE IN INDIA—I MADE IT!
On a funny, practical side of mission life: So, last minute packing of the washcloths, I forgot them!!…and I am not going to be a needy missionary needing so much every moment from the family and young ladies here to serve me…SO, I used a sock! Works quite well, actually I don’t think I will need a wash cloth. Hahaha.
Today I met “A-KEEL-A” AND “EMMA”—two (14?) girls that stayed home from school today. I am not sure the spelling of their names—but I remember their faces. One is in the picture with me on the front porch—you will see that one on your refrigerator or wherever you placed the PRAYER PICTURE. Don’t forget to pray for God’s House. There are so many needs…But God! Shall supply every ONE! Amen. Oh, and I got to say good morning and God bless you to the pastors that Pastor Paul oversees in the villages –they come every Thursday for prayer, then they “break fast” with a yummy meal that “Mami Rebekah” makes. I hugged the women of the pastors…they smile so beautifully at me! I told them I want to eat with them next week!
Love you all…
I am looking forward to the days ahead…stay tuned!
Lexi- glad you made it! Can't wait to see pictures! Marieka and fam
